Green Onion and Grapefruit Pesto

This is a variation on the traditional pesto sauce (which I have never made before). Worchestershire sauce has become my new best friend so I included it in the recipe for authenticity, but it is your call in the end. These measurements are doubly approximated, first through memory, secondly through my poor sense of cooking measurements. A food processor would probably do this job well.

  • 1-1/4 cup finely cut green onion tops
  • 1 diced green onion onion
  • 3 big cloves garlic
  • 3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Ruby Red grapefruit juice
  • 1 tblspn lemon juice
  • 1 tblspn Worchestershire sauce
  • course salt
  • black pepper

Serves 1, twice
