Translation

In order to motivate myself to learn French, I will be posting translations of short stories here. As some of you may remember, I was hoping to go to Hungary this year to study literature. That didn’t happen, but I have been able to find Hungarian books here, in French, that were never translated into English. So perhaps we can think of this as the English debut of these short stories by Dezső Kosztolányi. Of course, translating from a translation is a little stupid, but I’ll kill you if you tell anybody — remember what happened to this guy.
